La Soufrière is an active volcano situated in the national park of Guadeloupe South of the island Basse-Terre.
The access to the top of the volcano is possible via hiking and walking trails. However, some areas remain prohibited due to toxic acids and gasses. The climb is fairly easy but certain precautions are still necessary. Good hiking shoes are to be worn.
The route starts at the "Bains Jaunes" (at 950 metres of altitude), and then via the "trace du Pas du Roy".
